WesTex Communications, including the flagship Variety Hits 101.7 The Raider KTJK-FM/HD1, expanded Top 40 Infinity FM, variety Latino/a My 106.3 KKHR-FM/HD1, Fox Sports Abilene 1340 KWKC-AM, and NewsTalk 1560 KZQQ-AM, is looking for its next creative, engaging, and energetic sales personality.

Abilene is a growing mid-size Texas city with multiple new industries coming to the community, a vibrant cultural scene, three universities, over 500 active non-profits, and a thriving local small business community. Our station is new as of 2018 and came under local ownership last year, with new state-of-the-art all digital studios coming online in February 2022. The station broadcasts HD radio with individual apps and modern websites for all of our channels, giving lots of digital opportunities for exploration. We have involved and dedicated ownership on-site, live and local hosts, IP remote equipment, cloud-based, mobile-capable integrated CRM, production, traffic, and billing software (Radio Workflow), and excellent progress in client development made by an experienced broadcast salesperson to gain a foothold for our operations. Experience with sales and some form of CRM desired; familiarity with broadcast radio especially from a sales perspective is highly preferred. Social media management opportunity also exists for a creative candidate. Airshift opportunities may be negotiated, subject to desire and abilities.

We will consider both full-time and part-time personnel with goals and required weekly contacts to be negotiated mutually. Continuing education/webinars on paid time. Company cell phone provided. Salary DOE, hourly base plus commission.

Insurable driving record and basic computer skills are absolute requirements.
